Radiologist Amina Akhtar, MD, works from a bank of monitors to analyze mammography images at the Wellspring Breast Care Center at Upstate University Hospital’s Community campus. The center offers routine screening and diagnostic mammograms, ultrasound, tomosynthesis and breast magnetic resonance imaging, and image-guided biopsies provided by a dedicated staff of nurses, technologists, radiologists and surgeons. Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, plus some Saturday mornings for screening mammograms; call 315-492-5702 for appointments.
